How physical sales settle

Settlement flow (physical)
Production costs are pass-through and excluded before commission.
  1. Collector pays the checkout total (artwork + production + shipping; taxes where applicable).
  2. Production costs (print, framing, packaging, shipping labels) are reserved first.
  3. Platform commission is calculated on sale price minus production (not on pass-through costs).
  4. The remaining balance is routed to the artist via Stripe Connect (payout timing depends on Stripe and your bank).
Why this matters
Commission only applies to your sale value, not production and shipping costs.
Fees, transparently
Itemized in Stripe receipts and the payout trail.

Stripe processing: varies by region and payment method (e.g. ~2.9% + EUR 0.30 for international cards, or ~1.4% + EUR 0.25 for many EU cards).

Application fee: configured so production, platform commission, and processing are reserved first; the remainder is routed to the artist.
